Patrick De Silva is the Chief Investment Partner at Pix Vine Capital (PixVC), a global Investment firm that provides early stage funding to start-up and seed companies. In the past, as CEO of Rutledge Oilfield Group, he was instrumental in creating highly successful joint ventures as he expanded the company’s services to multiple continents, creating a global footprint with clients like ExxonMobil, Chevron, BP, Total and Shell. Patrick founded PixVC, to provide a significant bridge between Asia and global start-ups/investors, focusing initially on Israel. In a short period of time, he has built a strong expertise in Med-Tech and Mobile-Web Technologies with a portfolio of over 40 investments and two exits. It is Patrick’s vision to connect the early stage venture funding world and start-ups to Asia, enabling them to do deals based on PixVC’s infrastructure. His vast experience and background as a Chartered Accountant helps him appreciate the investment process and in being a valuable help to startups.

Chou Fang Soong
General Partner
Chou Fang Soong is a General Partner at Pix Vine Capital (PixVC). He has over 30 years of Technology, Management and Start-up experience. He is best known for his pioneering work with Gemplus (now known as Gemalto), a world leader in smart card & secured transactions. He started their Asia operation in Singapore in 1989 when the market for smart cards was non-existent. He was instrumental in Gemplus’ phenomenal growth in Asia to become the market leader and innovator. He was presented with the medal for “Chevalier de l’Ordre National du Merite’’ from the French Government on 27 July 2005 for his contribution to and promotion of Smart Card Technologies in Singapore and the Asian Region. He was also recognised by the industry with the D'ucoty Business Leader of the Year 2005 award by Frost & Sullivan. During this time, he led the creation of a start-up company in Smart Card Loyalty Solution in 1997 funded jointly by Gemplus and a major regional Bank. The company became a major solution provider in Asia, and was subsequently merged with Welcome Realtime of France in 2001. His unique experiences in pioneering smart card technologies, starting up software solution companies and nurturing local start-ups, has honed his passion in funding and mentoring start-up companies with innovative solutions.

Sruthy Parvathy Kumar is the Investment Analyst & Portfolio Coordinator at Pix Vine Captial (PixVC). She has 4 years of experience in organising numerous events directed at nurturing the local innovation ecosystem as the co-lead of Start-Up@Singapore and as one of the curators of TEDxNUS. Her industry experiences include a writing stint with a regional innovation and technology blog, and an attachment in Israel with Kinrot Ventures, a leading water technologies incubator, where she supported three of Israel's leading water technology startups with their marketing strategy and market research. Sruthy holds a B.Eng in Industrial & Systems Engineering from the National University of Singapore.
